Editorial policy: how we source, verify and correct our guides

Last updated 12 July 2026

OnlineVisa.net publishes visa and travel-document information that people use to make real decisions. That responsibility shapes how we work. This page sets out where our information comes from, how we keep it current, how we handle mistakes, and why our independence matters.

We are an independent information publisher. We are not a visa agency, not a government body, and not affiliated with any immigration authority. We do not process applications or charge visa fees.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and update the review date. Spotted an outdated fee, a broken official link, or a rule that has changed? Tell us via the contact page. We prioritise accuracy reports and appreciate the help — keeping this information right is a shared effort.

Independence & how we’re funded

Because we never handle applications, we have no incentive to steer you toward a paid service. Our guides consistently tell you to use the official portal. Any advertising or affiliate arrangements, where present, are kept separate from our editorial guidance and never change our core advice: apply officially, for the official fee. Read more on our about page.

Scope & limits

We cover tourist and short-stay travel documents — eVisas, ETAs, visa-on-arrival, exemptions, and the practicalities around them. We are not lawyers or tax advisors; for work, study, complex immigration, or tax questions (including digital nomad tax), consult the relevant authority or a qualified professional. Our content is information, not legal advice.

Rules and fees change. Our guides help you understand and prepare, but the official government portal is always the final authority. Confirm there before you apply.
